About NusoiBin

v0.2 - encrypted pastebin with frogโ€‘poster energy

What is this?

NusoiBin is a lightweight, client-side encrypted pastebin with a heart full of frog posters. Every paste is encrypted with a simple XOR cipher and Base64 encoding, then stored entirely in the URL fragment (#). Nothing is ever sent to a server - your data stays in your browser.

Share a link, and the recipient decrypts it on their own machine. No accounts, no databases, no tracking - just pure, amphibian vibes.

How it works

  1. Write - paste your text into the editor. Supports Markdown: headings, bold, italic, code blocks, links, and blockquotes.
  2. Encrypt - click Publish. The content is XOR-encrypted with a dynamic key and Base64-encoded.
  3. Share - the encrypted payload is stored in the URL fragment. Copy the full URL and send it to anyone.
  4. Decrypt - when someone opens the link, the fragment is decoded and rendered automatically.

Note: XOR is not military-grade encryption. It's a fun, lightweight obfuscation layer - not a replacement for proper end-to-end encryption. Use it for ephemeral notes, not for nuclear launch codes (or frog launch codes).

Theme tricks

Start your paste with a special command to change the entire look:

  • !hacker - green-on-black terminal vibe. (matrix mode)
  • !professor - warm paper-and-ink aesthetic. (academic chic)

The command is stripped from the rendered output, so it won't appear in the final paste.

Technical notes

  • Encryption: XOR with a dynamic key, then Base64. Decryption is the reverse.
  • URL length: Most browsers support ~2,000โ€“20,000 characters in the fragment. Keep pastes reasonable.
  • Markdown: Safe rendering with HTML escaping. Links are sanitized to prevent javascript: and other dangerous protocols.
  • No dependencies: Vanilla JS + Tailwind for styling. The entire app runs offline once loaded.

Why "Nusoi"?

Nusoi draws its spirit from the cult phenomenon of frog posters - those cryptic, whimsical, and oddly philosophical prints that adorn dorm rooms, digital walls, and the deepest corners of the internet. Itโ€™s a tribute to the absurd, the temporary, and the delightfully weird.

Much like a frog poster that makes you smile without quite knowing why, NusoiBin lets you share snippets of text that exist purely for the moment, encrypted and ephemeral, hopping from one browser to another. ๐Ÿธ
